I’m a paleoartist and science illustrator based in Monterey, California. Art has always been my way to connect with and learn about the natural world. What I love about paleoart is studying extinct species and following the puzzles of morphology and phylogeny to reconstruct them in the most life-like way possible. Paleoart offers so much opportunity to be creative, having to imagine full landscapes and environments rich with wildlife that we unfortunately can’t observe in person. By studying and rendering details, colors, postures, etc., you learn a lot about an animal and gain a sense of connection with them. I am a graduate of the CSU Monterey Bay science illustration program.
I also have a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communication from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. In my time at Cal Poly, I worked on a wide range of design projects from book production to vector logo design.
